In 2025, Oliver Moller-Jensen netted six goals in 18 games as an Owl. Now a Hoosier, the senior forward already has more goals in 2026 than he did all of last season, including both scores in Indiana’s 2-1 victory over Penn State Friday afternoon at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
Friday featured the second multi-goal output of the season for Moller-Jensen, who also scored twice against Notre Dame back on Aug. 20. In just 10 games, he has reached his career high of goals in a single season with seven.
When asked about what has unlocked his offensive explosiveness as a Hoosier, Moller-Jensen attributed his success to his teammates, a theme that is overarching throughout this year’s Indiana squad.
“I have a bunch of good players around me,” Moller-Jensen said postgame. “I feel like the team around me is helping me a lot to be at the point where I’m at today.”
One of those players is junior forward Stephane Njike, another transfer who joined the Hoosiers this offseason after spending his freshman year at Long Island and sophomore year at Maryland. Njike assisted on both of Moller-Jensen’s goals against the Nittany Lions, as the first came in the 29th minute on a strike into the bottom right of the net, while the game-winner came on a one-timer in the 77th minute.
Meanwhile, Indiana head coach Todd Yeagley emphasized how well Moller-Jensen and Njike complement each other postgame.
“(Moller-Jensen)’s goals were two really nice goals, and Njike did a great job of creating those moments,” Yeagley said. “(Moller-Jensen)’s a clinical finisher.”
Prior to Friday’s game, Moller-Jensen hadn’t scored since Sept. 7 in a home contest with Denver. With his two goals against Penn State, he snapped a three-game scoring drought, and it’s something he’s hoping will create a spark moving forward.
“It’s a huge confidence boost for me,” Moller-Jensen said postgame. “Been in a little drought, so to be able to get on the scoresheet again today, it feels amazing to be able to help the team get the victory.”
With 16 points so far this season, Moller-Jensen leads the team and has double the amount of points as the next-highest Hoosier (junior forward Easton Bogard has eight). While Moller-Jensen may not produce at the same level the rest of the season as he has up to this point, he is still poised to be a driving force for an Indiana offense that has been strong through the first 10 games of 2026.
Moller-Jensen and the second-ranked Hoosiers are back in action Friday against No. 4 Maryland, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. at Jerry Yeagley Field.
