Indiana basketball comes into Friday’s Senior Night game against Ohio State still looking to lock up its seed for next week’s Big Ten Tournament.
When Archie Miller was asked whether he wanted the six or seven seed it was a simple answer.
“Sixth,” Miller said. “You don't want to finish seventh if you can finish sixth, so we're going to take the highest possible seed that they'll name us. Sixth is definitely better than seventh.”
Of course Miller wants to finish as high as possible in the Big Ten standings, but there it’s not so outlandish to maybe want to finish a spot below.

The minute you walked into Assembly Hall on Saturday, you could tell there was a different type of energy in the building.
Indiana came in riding a six game win streak and were playing a Nebraska team still alive for a conference title. But it was neither of those things that brought over 5,000 fans to the arena.
Saturday was Senior Day for Tyra Buss and Amanda Cahill, two of the best players in IU women’s basketball history. It was fitting they got to share the day as they have shared the court and the spotlight the past four seasons.

What more could you ask for in a summer than baseball, sunshine and beaches.
It just so happens, one of the top summer collegiate baseball leagues in the country offers all three. And for Indiana pitchers Pauly Milto and Jonathan Stiever, they got that plus a Cape Cod League championship.
The league motto is ‘Where the Stars of Tomorrow Shine Tonight.’ That’s what it is. It’s the best of the best. For Milto and Stiever, they were just two of a handful of Hoosiers who were invited to spend the summer on the Cape. They also happened to be teammates for the Brewster Whitecaps.
For the IU starting pitching duo, day-to-day life on the Cape wasn’t all that bad.

Coming into 2018, the corner infielders, along with the designated hitter spot, will be counted on to produce for Indiana.
A season ago, the three returners in Luke Miller, Matt Gorski and Matt Lloyd combined to hit .287 with 25 home runs, 110 RBIs and 36 doubles. As the numbers show, they were very effective for the Hoosiers at the plate. Behind outfielders, the corner infielders and designated hitters were the most productive group for the Hoosiers.
But coming into 2018, one of the biggest bats in Craig Dedelow is gone. That puts more of an emphasis on this position group to help make up for what Dedelow did last year with his 19 home runs.
There will be some subtractions to the corner infield group this year, as well. Austin Cangelosi graduated while Jake Matheny, who played some at DH, transferred from the program.
Even with those two pieces departed, this group is still strong. Let’s break it down.
