Indiana baseball headed into its three-game weekend set with Maryland on Saturday needing some wins as it sat at just 20-17. The Terrapins needed it more than Indiana, sitting at 17-21 and sporting a 4-11 record in conference. This series will be a scrappy one for both teams and something has to give.

Fresh off a 1-2 trip to Champaign, Indiana baseball returned to Bart Kaufman Field on Tuesday for its final home mid-week matchup. The foe, the Indiana State Sycamores. A tale of two halves for the Hoosiers and Sycamores ended in a victory for the visitors 7-5.

Tuesday brought another single game mid week series for Indiana baseball. The first game of April for Indiana featured a face off with the Louisville Cardinals, one of the forces in the ACC. But more weaknesses on both sides of the diamond saw IU drop the matchup 6-4.

From day one, the thought of success for the 2025 Indiana baseball season always came down to playing complementary ball.

It is my favorite time of year. Champ week, the Big Ten Tournament, in the best host city, Indianapolis. What I call a “convention of Big Ten fans” is about to commence in a short number of hours.

Wow, has this season really flown by. Last time I checked my calendar, it was November and in a blink of an eye March is here.

We are just two weeks and one day away from the Big Ten Tournament tipping off in Indianapolis on Wednesday, March 12, but there are still so many dominos that are yet to fall in the 2025 edition of the Big Ten conference, and we saw that this past week.

It is Feb. 18, just a handful of weeks until the Big Ten tournament and Selection Sunday. It's time for the Big ten squads to put all their chips into the middle of the table and make the final push for March. With 18 teams, three are at risk of missing any postseason play. Today we are going to go a different route for TWIBTBB but still take care of one piece of original programming.

We are getting ever so close to the greatest postseason in sports. But what is so great about college basketball is that there is an abundance of time left for teams to inch ever so closely toward the bubble and increase (or decrease) their seeding in conference tournaments.

This week in Big Ten basketball was fairly mild upset-wise and the chaos was set to a slight minimum. But the storylines are still everywhere. Teams are looking toward a title, teams are charging toward the bubble and a few others are looking to keep their conference tournament hopes alive. Let's run it!

Winning on its own is hard, but winning on the road deservingly so is the hardest feat in college basketball. In the Big Ten any road win seems nearly impossible. But don’t tell that to the teams in this week's edition of TWIBTB.

The calendar has turned, marking another checkpoint in the 2025 college basketball season. It’s time for conference play. It is shaping up to be one of the best seasons this decade. There is so much good in this edition of the Big Ten conference. But you knew that already from the first couple entries of this series.

Weeks like last week are why we love college basketball, that time of year where we get a mix of conference matchups and marquee non-cons. Considering the upcoming slate of this week, last week seems like it will hold a lot more chaos then this week.

I really enjoy the early December conference slate. Frankly, the worst part about it is when it is over and teams have to play buy games again, which is no fun to be completely honest. But, we take what we can get in December when it comes to stellar college basketball matchups.

This week in Big Ten basketball, we got a little bit of everything. A slew of ranked-on-ranked matchups, ranked teams coming to Big Ten country to face unranked teams and the usual early season non-cons.

Last Monday, Nov. 4, kicked off a new era for college basketball and the Big Ten Conference takes no exceptions to that claim. The college basketball landscape went from six power conferences to five with the PAC-12 losing all but two teams. Some went to the Big Ten, some went to the Big 12 and some went to the ACC. Eighteen teams now headline the conference and that means basketball season will only get crazier.

It was a glorious day for soccer on Sunday as IU played its fifth conference opponent. In line for the Hoosiers were the Minnesota Golden Gophers, who entered Bill Armstrong Stadium 4-4-3 on the year.
